Eros and the Jewish People; Love and Sex in Texts

This six week class begins Tuesday, February 3.  Instructor Jeremy Alk will review the writing of love and sex in the Jewish tradition, spanning from Genesis to Ruth Westheimer, Song of Songs to Philip Roth. Click here for a class description. Eros class

 

PRICE REDUCTION  - Exploring Through Art and Text with Rabbi Borodin and Wiebke Light

Purim: Unveil some of the nuances in the story of Purim through two different medium; the written word and the visual. Sunday, February 7, 2010, 7-9pm.

Passover: Join the century old tradition of deepening the meeting of the seder with an art and text exploration of the  haggadah.  Sunday, March 7, 2010, 7-9pm.

Adult Beginning Israeli Dancing with Rhona Feldman has started a new format. The first half of each class will be devoted to introductory level dances, and advanced dances will be taught during the second half of the class.  No matter what your skill level, please join us every Wednesday night from 7-8:30pm.  Cost for a 5-session  punch card is $30/member, $40/non-member.

 

Seasons of Mussar II with Shirah Bell begins on Wednesday, February 10.
We've shortened the class time and lowered the price to encourage registration.

New Hebrew Literature class with Joel Altus and Lisa Orlick

Beth Shalom Beit Midrash led by Rabbi Stuart Light will meet on Thursday, February 4th, 8-9:30pm.

This Talmud Hevrutah will usually take place on the 1st Thursday of the month.  Cost is $5/class or $25 for 6 classes.  Please email marjiecoganATbethshalomseattle.org to sign up.  Or just come!!

 

Stitch and Schmooze
