Moms After Prison: Voices of Formerly Incarcerated Mothers

On the Shabbat of Mother’s Day Weekend, we have a very special panel planned. Come hear the personal stories of several local moms who were in prison and now free. Perhaps most inspiring, several of our panelists are now re-entry specialists and peer counselors who are moving forward by helping the next generation of moms.

We connected with the local non-profit Civil Survival to bring these voices to Beth Shalom. Civil Survival organizes people in the state of Washington who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system to build connection, including being in community with us at Beth Shalom and sharing the variety of their stories with humanity, compassion, and respect.
