Spring Judaics: Deep Dive into Tanakhl 2026

This course is part of the Adult B'nai Mitzvah program, but it's also being offered to other interested CBS members. 

This course offers both an overview and close study of important sections of Tanakh. We will examine classic stories, wrestle with challenging texts, and explore rabbinic and modern approaches to studying the Hebrew Bible. The course also includes special sessions on biblical readings relevant to Purim, Pesach, and Shavuot.

(Adult B'nai Mitzvah participants: if you've registered for the program, you are already signed up for this class! No need to sign up a second time, otherwise you will be charged tuition a second time.)

Format: In person
Time: Wednesdays, 8:05–9:15 pm
Dates: Feb. 4 – May 13, 2026 (no class on 2/18, 4/1, 4/8) 
Tuition: $180

Beth Shalom will refund tuition in the event a course is canceled.  Students who withdraw from a course and request a refund within two weeks of the course’s start date are eligible for a pro-rated refund.  Tuition will not be refunded for course withdrawal after two weeks from a course’s start date.
