Psalm Hike

Sunday, June 26, 2022 27 Sivan 5782

9:00 AM - 1:00 PMWallace Falls State Park

Come to the forest, to the mountains, and to the waters to experience the psalms. Beth Shalom board president Rich Brodsky and lead of our Greening Congregations efforts Tamar Libicki invite you on a hike to the lower and middle falls of Wallace Falls. We will be pausing periodically during our hike to read or sing select psalms that recognize the awe inspiring power of the natural world. "He established the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never totter. You made the deep cover it as a garment; the waters stood above the mountains." (ps.104 v.5-6). No hiking experience necessary to explore this trail that covers a wooded uphill trail with beautiful views of the falls.

Limited space available. Please register below. Contact Melani with questions.

The trail is 4.2 miles roundtrip and 900 feet of elevation gain. Portions of the trail are steep and rocky. Depending on the pace of the group, expect the hike to take roughly 3.5- 4 hours. Bring with you snacks, water, and sturdy shoes. Please dress for the weather that day, including sun or rain protection. Meet at the Wallace Falls trailhead at 9am. Parking lot fills up early on weekends. Located in Goldbar 1.7 miles off Highway 2, it is about a 65 minute drive from CBS. A Washington State Discovery Parking Pass is required.  $10 for 1 day pass or $30 for a 1 year pass. We will cancel in the case of inclement weather. More details will be provided to those who register.
