Enjoy a unique halva tasting and learn about the efforts of Leket Israel, Israel's National Food Bank and largest food rescue organization. Leket's critical work alleviates record levels of food insecurity and supports devastated Israeli farmers whose livelihoods have been devastated by the ongoing hostilities in Israel. The organization has developed several major humanitarian relief programs to meet the growing demand.

The evening will feature a high-level briefing by Lauren Yokèd, Executive Director of American Friends of Leket Israel, who will discuss how the organization feeds 415,000 Israelis per week—a staggering 77% increase since the October 7 attacks —with 70 million lbs. of fresh, surplus produce and 2.4 million cooked meat meals annually—nearly all of which is rescued from farmers, hotels, army bases, the IDF, corporate cafeterias and more. Without this effort, the food would go to waste.
