Second Temple Judaism

Join us for a series of classes and discussions on Jews and Judaism during the era of the Second Temple (roughly 6th Century B.C.E. through the 1st Century CE), a seminal and transformative time in Jewish history.  Though we'll try to do an overall sweep of the era, a special focus will be on the Maccabees, on Jewish interaction with the Roman Republic and Empire and on the lives of Jewish communities outside of the Land of Israel during this period. Gus Feliu is a CBS member with a graduate degree in Ancient Jewish History with a special concentration on Second Temple Judaism.

Time: Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00pm
